The Battle of Britain Memorial

On a wind swept hilltop overlooking the channel. A peaceful spot commemorating something noisy,  dirty and mechanical. These are a mixture of digital and film images captured over several visits. I hope you enjoy them.

As a little background the memorial sits overlooking the English Channel to the east of Folkstone Harbour in a village called Capel le Ferne. The Battle of Britain Memorial was opened in 1993 and the Christopher Foxley Norris Memorial Wall lists nearly 3000 aircrew who participated in the battle.
